If you need to cancel the meeting, get in touch with your tutor at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not receive a response from the tutor, send an email to studyskills@northwestern.edu.
No-Show/Late Cancel Policy Agreement
I understand that I must contact the tutor at least 24 hours in advance if I cannot attend a scheduled individual tutoring session. If I am more than 10 minutes late or miss a session, I understand the following repercussion will take place:
1st No Show: Academic Advisor in Athletics notified; Coach notified and student is warned.
2nd No Show: Academic Advisor in Athletics notified; Coach notified and student required to meet with academic advisor (tutoring suspended until meeting has been held).
3rd No Show: Academic Advisor notified; Coach notified and student's tutoring privileges suspended for remainder of academic quarter.
Tips for Success
1. Come prepared (reading materials, notes, asking questions, etc)
2. Be sure to exchange contact information with tutor (phone number and email address)
3. If you need to adjust your appointment time, be sure to contact the tutor at least 24 hours in advance
4. Be sure to set routine tutor appointments on the same day and time. It provides a level of consistency for both you and the tutor.
