Donald R. Horn (Swimming, 1932-35)

Donald Horn was one of the finest swimmers ever to compete for Northwestern. He was a three-time letterman (1933-35) and helped lead the Wildcats to National Collegiate championship in 1933. Horn, a breaststroker, established a then-world record for 2:29:8 in the 200-yard breaststroke in a 21-18 victory of Michigan that catapulted the Wildcats to the National Collegiate title. Horn was Big Ten champion in the 200-yard breaststroke in both 1933 and 1934, and as a senior, he captained the 1935 team.
