Frank A. Ehmann (Basketball, 1952-55)
Ehmann still ranks among NU's top record holders. His career total of 1,144 points currently stands ninth in NU annals. He averaged 23.8 points per game in his senior year, the second-highest single-season average in NU history at the time of his induction; he also, at the time of his induction, held the NU records for career free throws attempted (524) and single-season free throws made (234); held the NU record for most field goals (16) and most points (38) in a single game for nine years; and shared the school record with five others for free throws made (16) in a single contest. He was second all-time in free throws made (151) in a single season and fourth all-time in points (500) for one season.
A 1955 School of Speech and 1971 Institute of Management graduate, Ehmann was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and Deru honorary society. He served on the N Club Board of Directors and was active in organizing the Waldo Fisher Memorial Fund in 1980, honoring his former coach.
Ehmann held numerous executive positions including president and chief operating officer during a 28-year career with American Hospital Supply Corporation. He was named president and chief operating officer of United Stationers, Incorporated, in 1987.
