Diane Donnelly Stone (Tennis, 1984-87)
Donnelly teamed with Katrina Adams to win the NCAA Doubles Championships in 1987. Donnelly and Adams didn't drop a set in their five NCAA Tournament matches, finishing the season on a 24-match win streak, a 36-2 record and a two-year mark of 72-5. Donnelly was also a two-time All-American and All-Big Ten honoree.
Donnelly holds NU records for consecutive singles matches won (16 in 1985) and fewest sets lost (six in 1985). She and Adams hold the NU doubles records for wins in a season (26 in '86), consecutive matches won (21 in '87), consecutive sets won (28 in '87), best winning percentage (1.000, 21-0 in '87) and fewest sets lost (2 in '87). Donnelly Stone, who played professionally, was the vice president of World Team Tennis at the time of her induction.
