Charles D. Clawson (Football, Basketball, Track, 1939-41)
Clawson was one of only two nine-year lettermen in the history of NU athletics, winning three letters each in football, basketball and track during his career. He played as a fullback in football, as a guard in basketball and put the shot and hurled the discus in track.
One of Clawson's most notable games came in 1940, when he had touchdown runs of 45 and 35 yards to help the Wildcats upset Notre Dame 20-0 and end the Irish's title hopes.
