EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern diving alumnus Yohan Eskrick-Parkinson is set to represent Team Canada in 4-man bobsleigh at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina. Eskrick-Parkinson was a member of the Northwestern swimming and diving program from 2018-22. During his time in Evanston, he broke the program records in both 1-meter and 3-meter diving and served as a captain during his senior season.

In addition to his success on the diving boards, the Calgary, Alberta native was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar while majoring in neuroscience during his time in Evanston.

After graduating, Eskrick-Parkinson made history as a member of Jamaica's first-ever synchronized diving team. Alongside Yona Knight-Wisdom, he represented Jamaica at World Aquatics Championships in Japan and Qatar, ultimately coming up just short of qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

After several years competing as a diver at an elite level, Eskrick-Parkinson's weights coach Lascelles Brown, a two-time Olympic medalist in bobsleigh, suggested that he try bobsleigh.

A little over a year after making his bobsleigh debut, he was named to Team Canada's 4-man bobsleigh team as a brakeman for Team Jay Dearborn in January.

In the 4-man bobsleigh, each sleigh will race four heats over two days at the Cortina Sliding Center. After each team completes four heats, their four times will be totaled, with the fastest total time winning the event.
