AUSTIN, Texas — Senior midfielder Maddie Zimmer and graduate goalkeeper Annabel Skubisz of the Northwestern field hockey team, as well as junior lacrosse standout Madison Taylor, were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Women's At-Large teams Tuesday. Zimmer earned a first-team nod while Skubisz and Taylor were named to the second team.

For the second year in a row, and for just the second time in school history, three Wildcats made the Women's At-Large team. Northwestern and UCLA lead the Big Ten with three representatives each.

Zimmer (Learning and Organizational Change), who was the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Player of the Year, led Northwestern field hockey to its second-ever NCAA Championship title in 2024. The native of Hershey, Pennsylvania, starred in the championship game with two goals and an assist for five points and had game-winning assists in both the semifinal and quarterfinal rounds. The Wildcats finished their historic season 23-1.

Skubisz (Management) is a CSC Academic All-American for the second consecutive year. She was awarded second-team honors in 2024. On the field, the Houston native started all 24 games for the Wildcats, leading the nation in wins (21) and save percentage (.854) in the process.

A native of Wantagh, N.Y., Taylor (Human Development) set the NCAA women's lacrosse record for most goals in a season (109) this spring. She also holds the school record for most points (158) in a season, a total which is good for No. 2 in the NCAA record books. This year, she led the nation in goals per game (4.95), points (158) and points per game (7.18). The unanimous First-Team All-Big Ten standout led the Wildcats to two Big Ten titles and a national runner-up finish this spring.

Zimmer, Skubisz and Taylor join Northwestern men's basketball junior forward Nick Martinelli on the list of Wildcats to be named CSC Academic All-Americans for 2024-25. It also marks the ninth time in program history and the first time since 2016 in which four or more Wildcats were honored as Academic All-Americans.
