Lauryn Nguyen & Ashley Yun Receive Golfweek All-American Honors

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern's Lauryn Nguyen (Seattle, Wash./West Seattle) and Ashley Yun (West Covina, Calif./Walnut) have been named All-Americans for the second consecutive week. On Wednesday, the duo was named to the Golfweek All-American Third Team after a historic season that yielded the program's first national championship.
This marks Nguyen's fourth and Yun's second All-American recognition. They are the ninth and 10th women's golfers in school history to receive at least one All-American nod, all coming under the leadership of head coach Emily Fletcher and assistant coach Beth Miller. In total, these are the 20th and 21st All-American accolades in program history.
For Nguyen, it marks the second consecutive season being named an All-American by both the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) and Golfweek. In 2024-25, Nguyen put the finishing touches on a historic Northwestern career, earning her second career victory at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif., and leading the team with six top-10 finishes. The senior concludes her career with the lowest career stroke average in program history (minimum 75 rounds), carding an average of 72.42 across four years.
A year removed from being named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Yun followed it up with an extraordinary sophomore campaign, leading the team with an average of 71.65 strokes per round. Yun claimed her first collegiate victory in Scotland at the St Andrews Links Collegiate while also taking runner-up honors at the NCAA Norman Regional. A First Team All-Big Ten selection this year, Yun heads into her junior season with seven top-10 finishes and 41 rounds at par or better.
