Northwestern's five honorees tied for third in the Big Ten

EVANSTON, Ill. (June 30, 2025) – In an announcement Monday by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), five members of the Northwestern University women's golf team have been named All-American Scholars by the organization.

The Wildcats' group of five honorees, a total that tied for third amongst Big Ten Conference institutions, includes Lauryn Nguyen (Seattle, Wash./West Seattle High School), Ashley Yun (West Covina, Calif./Walnut), Elise Lee (Irvine, Calif./Crean Lutheran), Hsin Tai Lin (Taoyuan, Taiwan/IMG Academy), and Megan Meng (Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central).

A total of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers were named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team. The criteria for selection are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 required.

Led by WGCA National Coach of the Year Emily Fletcher and WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year Beth Miller, the 'Cats won the program's first national title this past May, toppling No. 1 Stanford in a thrilling 3-2 victory in the NCAA National Championship Match in Carlsbad, Calif.
