Northwestern Men’s Basketball Announces Exhibition Series with Iowa State

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's basketball will play its first preseason exhibition against a Division I opponent in program history when it takes on Iowa State before the 2025-26 regular season.
The Wildcats will play a home-and-home against the Cyclones, with the first matchup taking place this upcoming season in Ames on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025. Iowa State will then travel to play inside Welsh-Ryan Arena prior to the 2026-27 season, on either Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, or Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026.

Over the last three seasons, the Wildcats and Cyclones have combined for five NCAA Tournament victories. Northwestern is coming off its third consecutive winning season in 2024-25, which saw the Wildcats advance in the Big Ten Tournament.
