EVANSTON, Ill. – 3B Owen McElfatrick earned All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced on Tuesday morning. McElfatrick was named Third Team All-Big Ten, as voted by the conference coaches. McElfatrick earns the honors after a standout campaign at third base, leading all Wildcats in batting average (.303), hits (59), stolen bases (5), and multi-hit games (16) while slugging nine home runs, driving in 32 runs, scoring 40 runs, and notching 16 doubles.

Defensively, the Tampa, Fla. native posted a .957 fielding percentage, committing just six errors on 139 chances, starting 51 games at third base.

McElfatrick is Northwestern's first third baseman to earn All-Big Ten honors since Alex Erro was named Second Team All-Big Ten in 2019.

UTL Tyler Ganus was named Northwestern's Sportsmanship Award recipient. During his two seasons in Evanston, Ganus appeared in 58 games, batting .287 with a .398 on-base percentage during his time in a Northwestern uniform.

Earlier this year, Ganus was also selected as Northwestern's male nominee for the Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award, which was established in 2025 to recognize student-athletes at Big Ten institutions who strive to have a positive impact not only in their chosen sport, but also within their community. Ganus was also named to the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team, which is made up of 60 collegiate student-athletes who go above and beyond in volunteerism and civic engagement, complementing their achievements in academics and sports.
