Annual ‘Kits, ‘Cats and Kids Returns to Lazier Field on September 5

Northwestern Athletics and Recreation welcomes back an annual favorite, the 'Kits, 'Cats and Kids Block Party, to Evanston. This year's event will be held on Thursday, September 5, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Evanston Township High School's (ETHS) Lazier Field (2285 Church Street).

The 'Kits, 'Cats and Kids Block Party is free and open to all. Free snacks will be available, provided by ETHS and C&W Market, along with food trucks offering items for purchase, including La Cocinita, Soul & Smoke, MLS Hot Dogs, Rainbow Cone, and Cookies with Flavor. Lawn games, music, activity booths, arts and crafts, and inflatables will be provided at no cost. Marcus Brown from D.I.M.E. (Dance Is My Everything) will be this year's DJ and MC. The event will feature performances by the Northwestern University and Evanston Township High School Marching Bands, the Evanston Township High School Choir, and guest speakers from the City of Evanston, District 65, ETHS, and Northwestern University.

Parking will be available at ETHS for the event. The 'Kits, 'Cats and Kids Block Party is sponsored by the City of Evanston, Northwestern's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations, Northwestern's Department of Athletics and Recreation, ETHS, District 65, the Northwestern/ETHS Partnership Office, and the Northwestern/D65 Partnership Office.
