Kabiller NU for Life Program Presents its 12th Class of Kabiller Award Winners

EVANSTON, Ill. – On November 24, at the Wildcat Professional Excellence Program (WPEP) event, six exceptional Northwestern junior student-athletes were named distinguished Irving Kabiller Memorial Award recipients. All award winners will receive an all-expenses paid professional development experience within their areas of interest to further their career exploration, leadership development, and personal enhancement.
The 2024 Kabiller Award winners, including their areas of interest, are:
Andre Rocker (wrestling | Byfield, MA): Interested in visiting a Public Defender office located in a U.S. city with a large population of Black Americans. Rocker is passionate about providing legal defense to anyone who needs it, with no racial or ethical bounds. He is interested in shadowing lawyers who are working in this area.
Ramira Ambrose (women's soccer | Plymouth, MN): Interested in visiting the immersive learning opportunity with the Founders Network (WFN) in California. Ambrose is seeking to learn from influential women in leadership in the venture capital and start-up spaces. She hopes to understand both the investment process and the entrepreneurial journey.
Joseph Himon II (football | Little Rock, AR): Interested in visiting and immersing himself in one of the world's top fashion hubs and experiencing its vibrancy and creative energy. Himon II aspires to attend an event such as Vision, which is an innovative event that showcases professional sports brands in the hopes of one day creating a fashion brand business.
Sienna Noordermeer (volleyball | Los Angeles, CA): Interested in visiting and immersing herself in a leading private equity firm, ideally one with a sports portfolio. Noordermeer is focused on acquiring the critical insights and skills necessary to become a well-rounded and innovative private equity professional.
Juliana Hung (fencing | San Francisco, CA): Interested in visiting Pela Case, a compostable phone case company that makes sustainable products the new normal. Hung is learning about the manufacturing process of the materials, marketing, public relations, and advertising as she is passionate about sustainable companies with a specialty in brand marketing.
Tonahuc Zinn (men's swimming & diving | Santa Ana, CA): Interested in visiting the Washington, DC area to attend several policy think tanks and non-profit organizations that focus on ending mass incarceration. Zinn is also interested in shadowing public interest lawyers within the DC area.
