Both members of duo earn Second Team distinction
EVANSTON, Ill. (November 8, 2024) – Collin McCamy (Wake Forest, N.C./Crossroads Flex) and Nigel Prince (Atlanta, Ga./Forsyth Academy), both members of the Northwestern University men's soccer team, have earned All-Big Ten Conference honors, the league office announced on Friday. This marks the third time during head coach Russell Payne's tenure that multiple Wildcats have received All-Big Ten distinction.
Now a three-time All-Big Ten honoree, McCamy started in all 17 games for Payne's team in 2024. The 6-foot-2 midfielder tallied a goal and two assists, finding the back of the net in the Wildcats' thrilling 2-1 win over Drake on August 30.
Like McCamy, Prince was a fixture in the Northwestern lineup during the regular season, playing in 1,510 out of a possible 1,530 minutes of game action. The two-time All-Big Ten pick was at the center of a Wildcat defensive unit that posted six shutouts. Prince also made his presence felt in the offensive third, scoring in wins over Marquette (Sept. 9) and Rutgers (Oct. 11), respectively.
In addition to the announcement of the All-Big Ten teams, the conference also recognized its 11 Sportsmanship Award honorees, with Thaddaeus Dewing (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy/Air Force) taking home the honor for the 'Cats.
