EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern had three student-athletes selected to participate in the 2022 Career in Sports Forum at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis from June 1-4. Among a class of 200 participants, Skyler Shellmyer (Softball), Owen Bergin (Football), and Erika Chen (Women's Swimming & Diving) will represent Northwestern at this year's forum.
The NCAA Career in Sports Forum is an annual educational program that brings together 200 exceptional NCAA student-athletes, offering them a unique opportunity to explore potential careers in sports, with a specific focus on college athletics. Over the course of three days, the forum aims to help student-athletes chart their career paths, while providing valuable networking opportunities and insights from current athletics professionals.
Through interactive panels, engaging breakout discussions, keynote presentations, and facilitated dialogues, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse career paths within athletics and their potential contributions to the industry. This immersive experience will equip them with practical skills, valuable connections, and a solid foundation for their future endeavors.
