Movie Night Set for Thursday, July 29 at Ryan Field

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Athletics in partnership with Northwestern University's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations invites guests to attend a free showing of Tom & Jerry (2021) on Thursday, July 29 as part of its annual Movie Night at Ryan Field.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with the screening of Tom & Jerry beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the event is free, and guests may park in the East and West Lots of Ryan Field at no cost. Guests may enter through Gate K, and stroller parking will be available near the entrance.
Tom & Jerry (2021) reintroduces the classic cat-and-mouse rivalry when Jerry moves into a New York City hotel and reunites with rival Tom who tries to rid of him. The chaotic battle ensues and causes mayhem across the city. Watch the full trailer here.
In addition to the screening of Tom & Jerry, this year's Movie Night will include photo booths with various trophies recently won by the Wildcats. Guests can take photos with football's 2020 Big Ten West and 2021 Citrus Bowl Championship trophies, and women's basketball's 2020 Big Ten Championship trophy. In addition, some Northwestern Athletics partners will be on-site for guests to visit and receive exclusive offers and product information.
Seating for the event will be available on the field and in the stands. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows, but lawn chairs and similar items will not be permitted on the field. In addition, guests may bring food and drink to enjoy during the event, but items not permitted include alcohol, food preparation equipment (e.g., grills), glassware, and thermoses.
In alignment with the City of Evanston's updated guidelines for face coverings, community members who are not fully vaccinated should continue to wear a face covering and practice social distancing at indoor businesses and venues, as well as in outdoor public settings when maintaining a six-foot distance from others is not possible. Guests, regardless of vaccination status, may choose to wear a face covering for their own personal comfort.
