Northwestern Advances to Semifinals with Win over Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – Northwestern grabbed their first win of the Big Ten tournament with a thrilling comeback win, 4-2, over the Cornhuskers.
Nebraska was able to steal the doubles point, despite two matches going into tie breakers, and the 'Cats went into the singles matches with a 1-0 deficit.
Chris Ephron, Trice Pickens and Presley Thieneman made quick work of their opponents, finishing their matches off in two sets. With a 3-2 lead it all came down to Steven Forman at singles 1. He took the first set off his opponent 6-2 before falling 6-4 in the second set to even things out. Forman was able to take a decisive 6-2 victory in the third and final set to seal the win for the 'Cats.
The Wildcats will return to the court tomorrow for the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament against No. 1 seeded Ohio State. First serve is set for 10 a.m. CT.
