'Cats Fall in the First Round of NCAA tournament to Princeton

SEATTLE — Northwestern fell in the first round of the 2019 NCAA tournament to Princeton, 4-1, on Friday afternoon.
 
Princeton took the doubles point with a win at No. 1 and No. 3 singles to build a 1-0 lead.
 
The Tigers nabbed a win at No. 5 to go ahead 2-0, before Julie Byrne won at No. 1 in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. Princeton clinched the match with wins at No.3 and No. 4.
