Northwestern Upends Indiana, 4-3

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Northwestern women's tennis team got back on track with a 4-3 win over Indiana in Bloomington on Saturday. All four Wildcat points came in singles play.
The match did not count toward the Big Ten standings because it was scheduled as a non-conference event.
Northwestern got wins from Alicia Barnett, Lok Sze Leung, Rheeya Doshi and Brooke Rischbieth.
"We struggled to find our form at a couple places today, but the girls battled for a well deserved win against a tricky Hoosier team," Assistant coach Rob Gurden said after the match.
Barnett picked up a big win at No. 1 over Katie Klyczek to claim her 11th overall win of the 2015 season. The Northwestern junior was a 6-3, 6-4 winner on Saturday.
Leung won her fifth dual match with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Murdy at No. 3. Rischbieth looked dominate on the day, winning in straight sets over Smith, 6-4, 6-3 for her first dual win.
Doshi won a milestone match with her 6-2, 6-3 victory over Chupa at No. 5. The win was the Northwestern freshman's first in a dual in her career.
Indiana secured the doubles point after a back and forth affair at No. 2. With the doubles team score tied at 1, Kim Schmider and Alecia Kauss of Indiana won a close tiebreak over Barnett and Doshi, 8-7 (5) to pick up the first point of the match for the Hoosiers.
"We are looking forward to a little rest before our next dual match," Gurden said.
The Wildcats are back at home on March 20 when they host in-state rival Illinois at 5 p.m.
