MADISON, Wis. -- Northwestern traveled to No. 11 Wisconsin Thursday night and got a pair of victories from freshman diver Chelsea Davis (Columbus, Ohio./Worthington Kilbourne) and sophomore freestyler Andrea Hupman (Lawrenceville, Ga./Brookwood), but feel to the Badgers, 148-75.
The Wildcats are now 2-2 on the dual meet season, 1-2 in the Big Ten.
Davis won both the 1-meter (339.00) and the 3-meter (413.55) for the 'Cats. Her score on the 1-meter broke the pool record by 22 points, while her 3-meter score was a whopping 92 points better than the previous mark. Both records at the Wisconsin pool were held by Wildcat junior Leanne Dumais (Ventura, Calif./Buena)
"Personally, I have never seen a girl go over 350 points or a guy go over 400 points on the 3-meter," head diving coach Tom Michaël said. "It was quite an exciting event to watch."
Hupman captured both the 100 free (51.01) and the 200 free (1:51.14) for Northwestern.
Sophomore Katie Braun (Edina, Minn./Edina) narrowly missed a win in the 100 fly, finishing in second place with a time of 56.68, .09 seconds out of first.
Senior Katie Paglini (Chicago, Ill./Latin School) garnered a pair of second-place finishes in the 400 IM and the 100 back.
Freshman Hayley Fry (Marion, Iowa/Lin-Mar) was second in the 100 breast for the 'Cats.
