
Men's Tennis Loses to Purdue, 5-2

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University men's tennis team fell to Purdue, 5-2, Sunday afternoon in West Lafayette, Ind. The loss dropped the Wildcats to 3-5 (0-2 Big Ten), while Purdue improved to 3-3 overall.
The Boilermakers gained the first point of the day by winning two out of three doubles matches. NU's only win came at No. 1, where Brad Erickson and Joost Hol were 8-6 victors.
In singles play, Jackie Jenkins and Josh Axler were the Wildcats' only winners. Jenkins defeated Laith Al Agba (6-3, 7-6) at No. 3 and Axler downed Carl McCafferty (7-6, 3-6, 6-3) at No. 4.
