Matt DenBleyker is an Athletic Trainer with Northwestern Football since August 2026.

Prior to joining Northwestern, DenBleyker served as Assistant Head Athletic Trainer at Princeton University from 2023–2026, providing medical care for the football program and women’s swimming and diving. He also serves as an Athletic Trainer Spotter for the National Football League.

Before Princeton, DenBleyker worked at Wagner College from 2019–2023 as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine. In that role, he oversaw the medical care of the football program while supervising the Sports Medicine Department.

Earlier in his career, DenBleyker spent four seasons (2015–2019) as a Minor League Athletic Trainer in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He also worked as a Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2014 NFL season.

DenBleyker earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Montclair State University in 2012. He later earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Rider University in 2014 while serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Broncs.

In addition to his athletic training credentials, DenBleyker has been a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since 2009 and remains active as a volunteer EMT. He is also a certified CPR instructor.

DenBleyker lives with his wife, Casey, their daughter, Mackenzie, their son, Patrick, and their dog, Charley.
